In late September 2011 a free public bicycle repair station was installed in the downtown Urbana parking garage. Soon after five more stations were installed around the area. Each do-it-yourself station was built by the Dero Bike Rack Co. and includes a stand, air pump and multiple tools.

• Pennsylvania Ave. just west of 6th St. outside of the Campus Bike Project
• University Quad just south of Altgeld Hall and west of the student union
• Graduate Studies in Library and Information Science building, South parking lot, 5th and Daniel St.
