CUDO Plays is a local board game design competition hosted by the Champaign-Urbana Design Organization. Bringing together gamers, makers, and designers to make their game ideas into reality!
CUDO Plays guides teams through a program of events over the course of 6 months to help bring their board game from inception to production, and over two seasons have created 24 games!. The competition introduces teams to community organizations, such as the Fab Lab and Makerspace Urbana, holding workshops to help develop the necessary skills for board game creation.
CUDO Plays believes in helping people build functional, beautiful, and, most importantly, fun games! The competition introduces new people into the board gaming world and establishes a community that inspires people to create through games.
On October 18, 2014 CUDO Plays attended the Heartland Maker Fest.
