Carle Park was established in 1909 in central Urbana. Located across the street from the Urbana High School, Carle Park is a popular place for all ages. Recently the playgrounds were updated into one main area (on the south side of the park, off of Indiana street) with surrounding play structures scattered throughout the park.
Carle park is managed through the Urbana Park District. There are soccer practice fields and a sand volleyball pit for recreation.
Most people recognize the park for two reasons: the historic pavilion and the bronze Lincoln Statue both visible off of Race Street.
