The Classics Library was incorporated into the Literature and Languages Library in the Summer of 2016
The Classics Library's collection includes over 100,000 volumes, 400 journals, and all the major subscription databases. The scope of the collection is wide and includes materials related to a variety of disciplines including philosophy, art history, English, modern languages, and history. The collection also includes critical texts on and literature by Greek and Latin authors, Greek and Latin grammar and lexicography, philology, epigraphy, papyrology, and facsimiles of manuscripts. Medieval Latin, patristics, and Byzantine and Modern Greek, are also fairly well-represented.
In addition to its collection and its excellent staff, the Classics Library provides a quiet, peaceful study space for students, faculty, and staff who wish to peruse material without the distraction of noise or other people.
