Idabell Banks, 1983
Mrs. Banks came to Champaign from Atlanta in 1925, shortly after her husband, Dawson Banks, Sr., got a job here. She was born in Monticello, Georgia, in 1898. A housewife, she raised six children and occasionally
worked with her husband in Banks Bar-B-Q.
