The Illinois Fire Service Institute Library (IFSI Library) serves the Illinois Fire Service Institute's instructional staff, students, Illinois fire departments and firefighters, and other fire/emergency-related users by providing fire and emergency library and information assistance.

  • Workspace for international scholars and researchers studying fire service, emergency management, or library science issues

  • Interlibrary loan services that deliver library materials to a patron’s local library at no charge
  • Statewide leader in preserving, managing and sharing history and knowledge in the fire service, including the creation ofIFLODD: The Illinois Firefighter Line of Duty Deaths Digital Image Collection Database
  • Member of inFIRE (international network for Fire Information and Reference Exchange) a worldwide consortium of fire and emergency libraries
