Leal Elementary is part of the Urbana School District 116 and serves grades K through 5.  This site was originally the Oregon Street School and served as the Urbana Schools from 1872 to 1892.  The current building was built in 1935.  The school is named for Thomas R. Leal the area’s first county superintendent of schools.
