Meadowbrook Park is one of the best parks in the area. There is a jungle gym, paved and grass trails, bird watching, unique art sculptures, open grassy space, bridges, and open prairie that is a reproduction of how large swaths of the midwest looked before European settlers arrived.
Meadowbrook Park hosts the Organic Garden Service of the Urbana Park District. Local residents can rent garden plots to grow their own organic plants.
This is the location of the annual "Jazz Walk" hosted in September.
