Mount Hope Cemetery is a 52-acre cemetery located just west of Memorial Stadium. Many prominent figures from U of I history are buried here, as well as hundreds of veterans. There are many sculptural tombstones in the shape of trees (because family? get it?) and many that have amusing names on them. Observe:
