Strategic Artistry and the Urbana-Champaign People's History Project

elizaBeth Simpson began Urbana-Champaign People's History in an effort to take a national project through the Justseeds Artist Cooperative and bring it to a local level. From their website, U-C's People's History is a "collective, largely volunteer, effort to identify current and historical citizens, groups, places, and events which have made a significant contribution to the social well-being of the Urbana-Champaign community." They are currently working on two projects: Celebrate People's History Posters, and U-C Street Art Project

At the 2014 Heartland Maker Fest, elizaBeth had a booth promoting the project along with having several posters for sale by donation. These posters range in expected donation from around $2-$7.
