WICD Newschannel 15 is the ABC affiliate for Champaign. It shares reporters and news production with WICS of Springfield. Both stations are owned by Sinclair Broadcast Group, which acquired both stations, together with KGAN in Cedar Rapids from Guy Gannet Broadcasting in 1999.
WICD provides several hours of news, weather, sports and community reports every weekday, with one hour of locally produced programming on Saturday and Sunday. Additionally, WICD carries ABC national programming, syndicated re-runs and some paid broadcasts, especially late at night.
