History
LeSo is housed in a 1910 brick building with a long history that includes its life as an insurance agency, the very first headquarters of Marco’s Pizza, the Circle Bar and a few different bars after, and it was the last stop on the trolley line in the 1930's. Its current owners have dedicated themselves to the restoration and rebirth of this East Toledo landmark. It now has a beautifully restored tin ceiling and exposed brick interior that brings its history back to life in the current gallery and education space.
In 2013, the owners decided to take their role in East Toledo's cultural renaissance further. With the help of Kickstarter donors, and the art of Mr. Taylor, an iconic mural was created to provide the neighborhood a local mural to call their own.
