About various meetings we have had, will have, and should have about ToledoWiki. In 2013, the meetings took place on the 3rd Saturday of the month, from 4-6pm, as Edit Parties.

In 2013, our first meeting will be on the 3rd Saturday of January, but at 1pm.

  • "Bring the history of the city to a world wide audience"
  • Good place to go when researching ToledoWiki pages: the Resources page
  • ToledoWiki strategy: deep links into Toledo's Attic sections (e.g., a wiki Sports history page should link to the Attic Sports History page)
  • Present ToledoWiki to more historic groups? Get them to create/manage a page about themselves?
  • LOTS of ways for people to contribute to Toledo's Attic. Examples: HistoryPin, #toledosattic tag on Instagram.

  • Chris suggested finding/identifying facebook groups that have formed around toledo topics.  We'd have ready-made collaboration groups, with people who are already interested in a specific topic.  
  • Lot of discussion around history.  Suggestion to read out to the group behind toledosattic.com, toledohistory.org, tagsohio.org, "vintagetoledotv.squarespace.com"
  •  Perhaps we start by creating a page linking out to these other groups' sites.  A portal page of sorts.  "Toledo History Portal"
  •  Good exercise would be to do a search of all current pages having to do with history, and to give them a similar tag.  Then use the tag plugin to pull a list those pages on the history portal.
  •  Took over the "History" page.  Making it a index/gateway page.  Moved existing content to a page called "Toledo History"
